Want to stay involved as a former student?

Footlights are proud to have a long legacy of successful former members beyond the university, many of whom are now working in the theatre industry. As a society, we would love to celebrate this and utilise the skills and knowledge of our lovely alumni throughout the year in as many ways as possible!

come and lead a workshop!

One of the ways in which we’d like to celebrate the success of our alumni is through our new weekly workshops, by inviting former Footlighters to come and get involved, and impart their knowledge onto the next generation of Footlights members! Do you have some excellent choreography/music ideas for an ensemble number that could be taught at a workshop? Are you an avid techy with a wealth of wisdom to share regarding all things backstage? Come and lead a q&a!

If leading a workshop perhaps isn’t your cup of tea, we’re also interested in providing alumni Q&A sessions throughout the year to the current Footlights Members. These could be online or in person, and could be about anything at all that you think would be useful to share with the current society. Whether this is to talk about careers and experience in the industry, or simply experiences/theatre tips and tricks you’ve picked up since Footlights, we’d love for you to get involved! Alumni events
